Bisphenol A bis (diphenyl phosphate) flame retardant is a type of environmentally friendly flame retardant that is halogen-free, low-smoke, and low-toxic. It has good compatibility with polymers and is widely used. However, most phosphate esters are liquids with small molecular weight, high volatility, and low heat resistance, which affects their flame retardant effect and durability. However, condensed bisphosphate esters with large molecular weight, high phosphorus content, and symmetrical structure can overcome the above problems. Defects are becoming more and more important. BDP is one of the most representative halogen-free aryl phosphates. At present, there is no mass production in my country, so studying the synthesis method of BDP is of great practical significance.
Applications
Bisphenol A bis(diphenyl phosphate) (BDP) is a flame retardant that is used in the production of polycarbonate/ABS mixtures and polyphenylene oxide/styrene compositions. It is also used as an antioxidant in several fields, particularly in brake fluids.
BADP is a derivative of bisphenol A (BPA), which is a chemical compound primarily used in the manufacturing of various plastics. BPA is produced on an industrial scale by the condensation reaction of phenol and acetone.
